2024-2025 Open Enrollment Announced for Health Insurance

The Maryland Health Connection has announced the open enrollment period for the 2024-2025 coverage year. During this time, individuals can sign up for new health insurance or make changes to their existing plans.

Key Dates for Marketplace Coverage:

• Nov. 1, 2024: Open enrollment begins.

• Dec. 15, 2024: Deadline to enroll or make changes for coverage starting January 1, 2025.

• Jan. 15, 2025: Open enrollment ends. This is the last day to enroll or make changes for coverage starting February 1, 2025.

Medicare Open Enrollment:

Open enrollment for Medicare runs from October 15 to December 7, 2024. During this period, you can review and update your coverage options, such as enrolling in Medicare, switching between Original Medicare and a Medicare Advantage Plan, changing Medicare Advantage Plans, or updating your Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.
