Jockey Wellness Program Available
An online Jockey Mental Wellness Program is now available in English and Spanish for interested riders. MTHA Counselor Jessica Hammond met recently with jockeys at Laurel Park to explain the program, which is being offered around the country.
The goal of the free, confidential program is to help jockeys elevate performance, offer transition support for second careers, help them strike a balance between riding and life, stay positive during periods of injury, and offer advice on navigating financial challenges.
Visit www.onrise.care to create an account and schedule an appointment or contact Hammond at 301-776-0404 for additional information.
