MATCH Series Fires Up At Laurel Park
Kaylasaurus, Deciding Vote, Chez Pierre and Disco Pharoah were the winners of their respective divisions as the 2022 MATCH Series kicked off over two weekends in April at Laurel Park.
The series now moves to Pennsylvania—at Parx Racing Tuesday, June 14 (two turf stakes), and at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course the evening of Friday, June 17 (two dirt stakes). Laurel will host another full round of the MATCH Series Saturday, July 16.
Kaylasaurus, who has shown a fondness for the Laurel Park dirt surface, rallied from last to capture the $100,000 Primonetta Stakes (Filly and Mare Sprint—Dirt division) with Horacio Karamanos aboard. Kaylasaurus, owned by Bush Racing Stable, Liberty House Racing, BlackRidge Stables and George Saufley, won the Willa On the Move Stakes at Laurel in her 2021 MATCH Series debut in late December after having been claimed for $25,000 in her previous outing.
