Mobile Dentist Returns

Wednesday, December 18, 2024

After a successful run in 2021 and 2022, the Mobile Dentist is set to return to Laurel Park on Monday, October 28, marking the first of several visits planned for the fall.

A few years ago, the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (MTHA) partnered with the Silver Spring, Md.-based Mobile Dentist to provide dental services to the backstretch community. During its previous visits, over 80 individuals benefited from the service.

This year, the return of the Mobile Dentist is made possible through a community grant from Anne Arundel County, which the MTHA successfully secured earlier this year. The grant is specifically designated to fund the Mobile Dentist’s visits.

Initially, the focus will be on individuals residing in the dormitories within the Laurel stable area, particularly those with limited transportation options. As before, the Mobile Dentist plans to offer services on Mondays.

To participate, individuals must complete the necessary registration paperwork in advance, as was required during the 2021-22 visits. To register, please contact Diana Pinones at 410-902-6842.
