As part of ongoing efforts to improve communication and coordination across Maryland racing, the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association continues to utilize WhatsApp groups as a real-time communication tool for horsemen and industry participants.
MTHA encourages all horsemen to promptly report any concerns involving the racing or training surfaces at Laurel Park by emailing trackissues@mdhorsemen.com.

The Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (MTHA) Board of Directors has unanimously approved the creation of a new, dedicated email address designed to strengthen communication and engagement with its membership.

The MTHA provides van service for both personal needs and recreational outings for those working on the backstretch.

The email system for reporting backstretch and track surface concerns by Maryland horsemen has drastically improved response time by Maryland Jockey Club to address concerns at Laurel Park and Pimlico.

The Jockey Club Registry has made available a video tutorial and FAQs to assist industry stakeholders with managing digital certificates. Digital certificates were introduced in 2018 to streamline management of the official certificate of registration throughout the life of a Thoroughbred.
